The Stations of the Cross

Click to enlarge this imageThe Way of the Cross developed as a devotion that appealed to people unable to undertake a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Fourteen 'stations' mark moments in Jesus journey to Calvary and his burial. The addition of a fifteenth 'Resurrection' station in recent times and the development of alternate scriptural stations enhance this way of journeying with Jesus and accompanying him in his Passion. This Way of the Cross with images from Kenya and texts considering the effects of climate change is reproduced here from TrĂ³caire's 2008 Lenten Resources
