Third Station: Jesus falls the first time

The man inflicting the blow does not look like he is happy with his role. In life, I often stay silent or go along with actions that I know are not just. Give me the courage today to recognise that my actions have consequences for others. I affect the environment in which I live. Give me the strength to rise up again and begin anew to create a better world for all people. Take away the fear that prevents me from taking action

Lord, you fell down under the weight of the cross and the taunts of your captors. Help me to find my voice for change and to begin again with new resolve to be a worthy and responsible steward of creation. Give me the strength to rise above the cynicism of others and my human weakness
